Community service is very important to the sisters of Delta Eta Chapter. The ladies volunteer to help the campus, surrounding communities or wherever there is a need. The organization has been recognized for their commitment to service with the student organization award from the Associated Students University of Idaho (ASUI) for a “Recognition of Outstanding Service” in 2005. Some examples of community service activities from the past are:
- Jazz Festival
- Alzheimer’s Memory Walk
- Martin Luther King Jr. Day food drive
- Food Drive for Alternatives to Violence of the Palouse (ATVP)- Co-sponsored with CAMPOS
- Cell Phone Drive for ATVP
- Donation of Red Ribbons for World Aids Day
- Make a Difference Day
- Volunteer at Palouse Clearwater Environmental Institute
- Dance to raise funds for Hurricane Katrina Relief Fund
January
